Hip! Hip! Hooray! It's Monday! ~ Monday Made-It That Is!

I don't go back to school {with kids} until September 4 so I can still get excited about Mondays!  Now don't be a hater ~ I had to teach {without air conditioning} until June 29 while you were all enjoying the sunshine:)  I've linked up with Tara over at 4th Grade Frolics for another Monday Made-It.  As much as I have fun making goodies to post ~ I love curling up on the couch and blog hopping to see what everyone else has made.
Monday Made-It #1:
As soon as I saw these last week I knew I had to make them ~ they "spoke" to me:)  I got the idea from Sara At School.  They were really easy {and cheap} to make.  I'll show you what they look like and then I'll give you the run down on what I did.

So all you need is 2 ~ 12x16 canvas from the dollar store, paint for the background, and letter stickers.  I bought paint pens but I didn't end up using them.

I painted the canvas with "Bright Blue" ~ 2 coats so the coverage was nice and even.

Then I used plain paper to make a template so I could fiddle with the sizes without wrecking my good paper.

I bought my paper from Michael's.  It is "distressed" and the colours are beautiful.

Then I used my template pieces to cut out the shapes from the scrapbook paper.  I glued them to the canvas with Mod Podge and put the stickers on.  I put one coat of Mod Podge over the whole thing so it would be well protected and finished it off with Acrylic Sealer to get rid of the tacky feeling left behind by the Mod Podge.

They make me smile:)

Monday Made-It #2:
I finally got around to making a "First Day of Grade One" frame.  I used MelonHeadz "Rock N Roll" graphics {I LOVE MelonHeadz!}.  I am going have my kids pose with sunglasses and a microphone ~ they will look sooooo cute!  My daughter, Julia, humoured me so I could take a picture.  I love her!!!

Now before you go I need a little help!  When other people leave a comment I have noticed that their blog name (with a link to their blog) comes up under their name.

I have tried everything I can think of and I can't figure out how to get my blog name and link to show up under my name when I leave a comment.  If someone could please explain it to me {please be very specific ~ I'm new at this:)  I would be so appreciative!  Thanks:)

That's all for me ~ I'm off to see what you made!  Happy Monday:)
Bye for now,
Natalie

Although I just discovered I made one post to try it out in November of 2010.
