Five For Friday

I am linking up the Doodle Bugs Teaching again this week to share my week in pictures.

Now on to the show!
Funny Cry for Help Ecard: I am so stinkin' tired I can't even strink thaight!
Need I say more?

We applesauce today and let me tell you it was yummy!  I have never done this at  school before but I would highly recommend it! It's worth it just for how nice your classroom smells:)
For 20 kids I used 20 apples, 1 cup of water, 2 tsp cinnamon, and 2 cups of sugar.  We mixed all the ingredients in the crock-pot and let it cook for the next 5 hours (mashing every 30 minutes) - presto!  So easy!

We've been working on place value this week and my kiddos are doing a great job of grasping the concept.  Place value can be tricky for the kids because it combines numbers and math language.
My kids loved the superhero theme!  These pages are included in my "If I Was A Place Value Superhero" unit.

This one is math, too:)  My grade ones have been working on composing and decomposing facts to 7, 8, and 9.  We also worked on representing a given number using tens frames and tallies.  These pages are from my "Counting With A Big Red Dog" unit.

I got home tonight and found a cute little box from Amazon with my name on it:)  I had pre-ordered these quite awhile ago so it was a nice surprise when I opened the box and found 2 new Pete the Cat books!

Enjoy your weekend!
