SPRING SALE!!!

Hi Friends!
I just wanted to let you know that I am having a "Spring is on it's way" sale!  Everything in my TpT store is 20% Sunday and Monday!  If you are looking for a little Easter fun I just posted my new Easter unit called  "Easter Egg-citement".  It covers 10 essential literacy skills: syllables, synonyms, prepositions (x2), compound words, sentence sequencing, nouns, onsets and rimes, rhyming words, and verbs.  As always I have included all the activities in both colour and black and white.  Here's a peek!

Monthly Reading Strategies Bookmarks {Anchor Charts in the Palm of Your Hand}

Hi folks!
This is the first year that I have implemented the Daily 5 and I can't tell you enough how much I love it!  I will admit that it is still a work in progress ~ there is a learning curve with anything new!  I am using all 5 components just not exactly the "proper" way.  We started with "Read to Self" in September followed by "Read to Someone."  I have a split 1/2 class this year and my kiddos do 20 minutes of each consecutively ~ which I think is pretty amazing!  As their book boxes were filling up I realized pretty quickly that my kiddos were going to need bookmarks.  I wanted them to be useful teaching tools as well so I made a cutsy bookmark and then on the back I attached "mini" anchor charts before I laminated them.  My students LOVE their bookmarks and can hardly wait for a new month to arrive.  The best part is that they actually refer to the anchor charts during their reading time!!  Dynamite!  These bookmarks have turned out to be more beneficial than I ever could have imagined!
I finally finished the pack and posted it on TpT tonight.  I have included 27 different bookmarks so you have lots of choice and you can use the resource for more than one school year.  I have also included 11 reading anchor charts to be attached to the back of the bookmarks and 2 different reading poems.  I locked down all the graphics so I could offer this pack as a PowerPoint - therefore it is EDITABLE!   I have given all the instructions so you can personalize the bookmarks with your students's names.  I also included photographs showing you how to assemble the bookmarks.

If you think it is something you could use in your classroom here is the link for you to check it out.
